Conditions Treated with Hypnosis

I treat a wide variety of conditions.   For example, weight-loss, quitting smoking, stress, anxiety, pain  management, habits and phobias, confidence, motivation, insomnia … This list is by no means exhaustive! Please see the menu opposite for more information on just some of the conditions treated.

There are may techniques that I can incorporate alongside hypnosis to enhance your treatment programme –  eg relaxation techniques, NLP, Mindfulness.

Please get in touch for more information about how hypnotherapy may help YOU.

I am a fully qualified Hypnotherapist – holding  a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling. I am Registered and Accredited with the National Hypnotherapy Society and abide by their strict Code of Conduct, and I’m an Associate Member of Chrysalis.

I am also a Tutor, teaching students in Hypnotherapy and Counselling for a National Accredited Course.

Diet and Nutrition Adviser

I am also a qualified Diet and Nutrition Adviser which complements some aspects of my hypnotherapy work, for example, Weight Loss Management.

Counselling Skills

I have a range of counselling skills which I have developed and applied throughout my career and which can support clients coming to me for hypnotherapy. I have also undertaken work for Voluntarily for a National Charity where counselling skills are paramount.

I hold a Diploma in Mindfulness.  Mindfulness can help in many anspects of one’s life.   I can therefore incorporate Mindfulness into many hypnotherapy programmes, as required.  For example, incorporating Mindful Eating into weight loss programmes; and Mindfulness aspects into Stress and Anxiety sessions, Insomnia etc.     There are many books about Mindfulness on the shelves in bookshops now.  There are also many websites on this subject.  For example the NHS Mindfulness information site

Hypnotic Gastric Band

I have a Diploma in Hypnotic Gastric Band.  The results of Hypnotic Gastric Band surgery are impressive – success rates are 70% – BUT for the hypnotic gastric bands it is even more impressive – at 80%.  (statistics based on patients between 1994 and 2011 – source “Centre of Excellence – Gastric Band Hypnotherapy Course).  This can be an excellent option for clients who are within the Obesity weight-range.

Sleeping soundly should be a refreshing and restful experience.  However, when you experience sleeping problems it can be stressful and affect your day to day functioning: sleep deprivation can be a serious issue.  In fact, the importance of sleep has been known for centuries… William Shakespeare referred to sleep as “Nature’s soft nurse” and urged “we enjoy the honey-heavy dew of slumber”.    I have studied an Insomnia Practitioner Course and incorporate many skills and techniques into hypnosis, to help clients benefit from quality sleep.

(There are some conditions/techniques that may not be appropriate for on-line therapy – I will advise as/when appropriate if you prefer to use on-line options instead of face-to-face consultation.)

Fully Insured

For your reassurance and safety, I am fully insured and qualified.
